The "Zeppelin" encloses a mono or stereo microphone Suspension held by an external Pistol Grip or Boom Mount, surrounded by a cage-like cylindrical Windshield. This can be covered with a furry WindJammer for maximum wind protection, or with a gray felt Hi-Wind Cover in less blustery wind conditions. The ConnBox, which mounts inside the Zeppelin, isolates the microphone from vibration with a very supple short cable that links the microphone to a more robust external cable. There are models for almost any microphone. Those described here are typical, and are for the Schoeps Colette Series (CMC-- body with MK-- capsule, with or without the CUT filter): |
