MODEL 5 LOUDSPEAKER
The Aerial Model 5 is a high performance compact monitor for critical music listeners and for small home theaters. It provides precise imaging, transparency, and accuracy exceeding that of many larger, more expensive systems. Yet it is conveniently small.
The Model 5 uses the same design standards used in larger aerial products. Its cabinet has 1" and 2" thick walls with interlocked braces for low coloration. Crossover networks use the same high quality precision components. Its drivers are custom-designed to optimize system performance. The result is extraordinary performance.
In most rooms, usable bass extends to 50Hz with surprising dynamics, weight, and rhythm. In contrast to many small monitors, the Model 5 has a large woofer for good air moving capacity and relatively high output. False mid-bass emphasis is notably absent.
The critical midrange is remarkably smooth, free of coloration and natural. Treble is open, detailed, and airy without harshness. Transient accuracy and coherence are exemplary.
Tonal balance remains good even when placed on shelves or wall mounted. While not shielded, a Model 5 can be mounted within a few inches of a video monitor without visible effect. On stands away from walls, the Model 5 is capable of creating a broad yet highly resolved soundstage seemingly emanating from space.
The Model 5 is available in beautifully veneered finishes in matched mirror-imaged pairs. Finish quality is unusually high. An optional floor stand is available for best performance.
